Finance Assistant
Shotton Mill
What you'll do:
- The administration and processing of all invoices passing through a finance department.
- Ensure that all invoices are processed according to the necessary approvals and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts and invoices.
- The administration and processing of employee expenses.
- Being a point of contact for the handling and solving of both supplier and internal queries.
- Other purchase ledger, cash management and administrative support as required.
What you'll bring:
- Understanding of accounting principles and current financial legislation.
- A minimum of 12 months experience within a finance department.
- Manufacturing environment experience is desirable.
- Experience with major capital investment projects is desirable.

Work Group Leader - Tissue
Shotton Mill, Deeside
What you'll do:
- Responsible for their area shift teams health and safety, environmental, technical, operational, & HR related issues.
- Responsible for their shift teams operational performance, ensuring that output, technical specifications and quality standards are maintained to agreed Production standards as outlined.
- Support in leading the shift team as a Role Model and Change Agent instilling and developing the EREN culture for Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Leading, coaching and mentoring their shift team in Continuous Improvement and 5S methodology and implementation practices.
- Accountable for ensuring their shift team understands, follows and adheres to the performance KPI’s & Continuous Improvement targets in place, are understood, followed and achieved by all.
- Responsible for helping maintenance team in their shift for an effective maintenance process and starting-up the machines and equipment again efficiently after the planned/unplanned maintenance activities.
- Responsible for the main communication with reel warehouse teams for a continuous flow and resolution of the issues until the products arrives to the warehouse.
- Leading their shift team through quality standards ensuring products are delivered on time and to the required customer specification as specified.
- Accountable for the effective shift leadership across their shift, ensuring that the appropriate behaviours aligned to Shotton Mill’s values and culture, are modelled and embedded.
- Accountable for cultivating a dynamic operational environment ensuring that the shift team performs to the highest standards at all times.

What you'll bring:
- Leadership qualification and proven experience of a technical role within paper making or a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Minimum 3 years’ previous experience working as a leader of people within a manufacturing environment or ideally within a containerboard/papermaking business.
- Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively and network at all levels.
- Highly motivated, agile, results driven with the ability to problem solve are essential.
- Previous experience/understanding of World Class Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies would be advantageous.

Sourcing Buyer

What you'll do:
- Supporting the team by following purchasing processes and procedures to support business objectives and targets.
- Developing and shaping sourcing operations in order to develop and design cost effective contracts and services aligned to costs and requirements.
- Supplier development and cost optimisation on site, together with leading negotiation and drafting contracts aligned with business requisites.
- Reporting, Reviewing and negotiating competitive rates on a range of products and services within the sourcing area.
- Developing and managing sourcing processes and tools for key stakeholders within the Shotton Mill team.
- Working within budgetary processes with Finance and Stakeholders to develop cost optimisation and quality services.

What you'll bring:
- Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards the qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment is required. A strong understanding of
- Engineering or an Engineering background is advantageous.
- Previous experience within recycled paper manufacturing is advantageous.
- Strong understanding and previous experience in Contract Management.
- Strong understanding of business and commercial acumen within a focused purchasing team.
- Previous experience of reducing costs whilst maintaining customer service is essential.
- You will be motivated, dynamic and have the ability to challenge the status quo in order to support cost analysis.
- The ability to create proposals to improve all aspects of the service within a manufacturing and project environment.
- Proven ability to engage senior decision makers, whilst building and developing long-term relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving skills in order to work on a range of purchasing projects., both independently and as part of a team.
- Highly driven and proactive to develop and grow within the business.
- Ability to work with site wide teams and challenge the current processes and systems.
- Preferred experience of working with SAP, Excel, Databases, Sage and other purchasing platforms in order to create processes and initiatives to drive business performance and improvements.

Production Operator

What you'll do:
- As a Tissue Mill Operator, you will play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities may include:
- Monitoring and operating tissue manufacturing processes (stock prep, machine operation, or rewinding).
- Ensuring products meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Completing planned and unplanned maintenance tasks and supporting machine clean-downs.
- Participating in shutdown activities and contributing to continuous improvement (TPM, 5S, ISO).
- Maintaining accurate production records and documentation.
- Always working safely, following LOTO and all company safety policies.
- Supporting changeovers and technical adjustments.
- Contributing to a positive, efficient operational environment.
- Training or supporting colleagues to provide cover across key roles.

Apprentices/trainee
As an Engineering Apprentice at Shotton Mill, you will gain technical, hands-on skill with our most experienced engineers on site, many of whom started as apprentices themselves. You will gain workplace experience and knowledge whilst gaining your qualifications and attending college. As the repurposing project gets underway, you will work alongside our engineers in doing the work to ensure the project is successful. You will be encouraged and guided with your learning, with ample support on site to aid with your development.
