Shotton Mill Supports Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith

While Shotton Mill continues to take shape into a world-class manufacturing facility, our commitment to the local community remains a steadfast priority. On Tuesday, 10th February, we were honoured to welcome Nicola Eyes from Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith to our site to accept a small donation from the team at Shotton Mill Limited to support the vital work they perform across the region.

The visit provided an opportunity for our team to showcase the monumental transformation currently underway at the Mill. However, the highlight of the day was the chance to turn the spotlight on the incredible services provided by Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith.

During the visit, Shotton Mill’s Dan Johnson and Joanne Mandley presented Nicola with a £1,000 donation on behalf of the business. These funds are dedicated to helping Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith to continue providing professional care, bereavement support, and respite for children and families facing life-threatening conditions.

"At Shotton Mill, we are busy building for the future of the regional economy, but we know that the true heart of our community lies in the incredible work done by local organisations like this one," said Dan Johnson. "It was a privilege to show Nicola around the mill and share our vision, but it was even more rewarding to support theirs."

The donation reflects Shotton Mill’s broader mission to ensure that our industrial growth contributes positively to the social fabric of North Wales and the surrounding areas.

Following the cheque presentation, our team has been invited to attend an upcoming open morning at Tŷ Gobaith on 25th March, this return visit will allow our team to see firsthand the nurturing environment created for the children and to understand the impact of the donation on daily operations.
