Eren Holding Chairman Commends Progress and Safety at Shotton Mill Project
The Shotton Mill Limited Project received a significant endorsement this past Saturday, November 8th, during an official site visit by Eren Holding Chairman, Mr. Ahmet Eren, accompanied by Board Member Mr. Cem Eren.
The visit served to review the substantial construction progress achieved across the site as the project moves toward its final commissioning phase.
CEO Sabri Çimen and General Manager Dan Johnson hosted the delegation, providing a detailed briefing followed by an extensive tour of the key installation areas.
Construction Momentum Highlights
The tour showcased the dedicated work underway across the site:
- PM3 Containerboard Machine: The Chairman viewed the ongoing mechanical installation, engaging directly with the project team who successfully demonstrated the effective progress and current status of the machine build.
- Critical Infrastructure: The delegation reviewed essential supporting installations, including the CHP (Combined Heat and Power) Plant and the Effluent Treatment Plant, confirming the comprehensive scope of work progressing simultaneously.
- TM1 Tissue Machine: The final stop highlighted the TM1 machine floor, underscoring the coordinated effort across multiple major machine installations.
A Message of Satisfaction and Encouragement
Following the tour, Chairman Mr. Ahmet Eren expressed his satisfaction with the project's progress and delivered a message of encouragement to the entire team.
Mr. Eren’s primary takeaway was the team’s speed and conviction in pushing toward startup. He specifically highlighted three critical points central to the project's success:
- Safety First: "He was pleased to see that safety remains the top priority despite the high volume of simultaneous work."
- Organisation: The Chairman noted the site as being well organised.
- Teamwork: He affirmed that the visible progress demonstrates a clear collaboration between teams working toward a common goal.
Concluding his remarks, Mr. Eren thanked the workforce for their commitment, stating: "We are almost there. Let’s keep pushing on."
The Chairman confirmed his intention to return in the New Year.
